I Don't Want To Be Black No Mo'.

What does being black in America mean today? Since being forced to come to this country my race of people have been called as a group many names; nigger, coon, Negro, black, African American, etc. the list goes on. The latter being the newest phrase. However the term black seems to be the universal term that most can agree on without getting too much of an argument. Around the world most so-called black people know their origin, land, culture and name. The largest place on the planet where people are confused about their origin, land, culture, and name is in the United States of America. This is where the majority of black people live, because in most other parts of the world people can be referred to who they are by nationality and not by skin color. After being education on this matter, I now no longer want to be called Black, because Black refers to a people who do not know their origin, land, culture, or names. Understand that the one people are calling the first Black president, does not come from the descendants of slaves, (his wife does, but he does not). He has stated that himself.

If you will, I'd like to take you on a journey that I recently experienced at the mall. It is a story that you may be able to relate to, but even if you cannot relate, this may help you understand why, "I Don't Wanna Be Black No Mo!"

In search of a new book written by a famous black entertainer, to give as a gift, I decided to leave work during my lunch break and travel across town to the mall where 95% of the people that shop there are Black. There were two reasons that motivated me to attempt this endeavor. One, I wanted to support the community and two because I figured that if anywhere in town would have this book, it probably would be here.

Upon entering the mall, the first thing that I realized was that the major chain bookstore was no longer there. I mean why would it be there, "Black people don't read anyway," right? It has been a long standing joke that if you want to hide anything from Black people put it in a book. (Many Black people who start to read this article won't finish it. It's probably too long. That is too bad, because the wisdom is toward the end). Another joke is that, If you want to hide money in your home, but it in a book, (books to Black people are like kryptonite to Superman). Anyway I ventured up stairs to the second level. I hoped that the one black bookstore had survived. Once I reached the second floor of the mall I was surprise to see a host of black vendors. Then if struck me, "this is Black History month in America." There were vendors everywhere peddling various Black and African items; clothes, jewelry, paintings, and of course an endless supply of President Obama paraphernalia, all sorts of pictures, calendars, placards, and other creative items all to capitalize on the first so-called Black President of the U.S. Of the many vendors, I saw one book on a table mixed in with the other items that this vendor had to offer. Don't get me wrong, I voted for Obama, and I don’t have anything against capitalism, but this just looked to me like the vultures had landed. People had pictures they copied from the internet, newspapers, and magazines. Also on displayed was a picture of the last supper, with popular black male leaders and celebrities. There was even a portrait of the last supper with famous female people as well. (Is this blasphemy)? I even saw a picture of the President riding a horse with his wife on the back, and a posse of other black celebrities (living and dead), riding with him, as though they were coming after the bad guys in the old west. (Remember, during those times we were slaves).

Eventually I saw something that caught my eye. It did not seem to be very expensive, it was creative, and it had meaning to it. "How much for this" I asked? "Ten dollars replied" the vendor. "Do you take ATM or credit cards?" "Yes!"

I gave him my card and to my surprise, and I guess to his as well his merchant credit machine did not work. Dang! "(I hope he did not scam me. I hope that in a few weeks I don't find out that my identity had been swipe with that non-transaction)." Unfortunately this was his loss. By this time, I find myself in front of the Black bookstore/African gear/ and whatever else they could fit into the store to sell. I was politely greeted by a young woman, who was on the phone. I asked her if she had the book and she told me that It may be in the boxes that just came in. Thinking that she was on the phone with a customer, I told her to check for me, when she could. I walked around the store a little bit. I saw all sorts of Black romance novels; a few "What Black people need to do" books, other books by famous celebrities, and Preachers, etc. I noticed that they too had a variety of the type of item that I had just attempted to purchase from the previous vendor, and much cheaper, however they did not have the exact one that had caught my eye. It's been about seven minutes or so, and I now have found myself getting closer to the cash register where the young woman is, next to her are the three boxes that she had referred to, one box is open, but she is still talking on the phone as though she has forgotten why she is there. I realize that she is on her cell phone on a personal call. By now I am standing next to her, I know she sees me, and I am wondering why she doesn't at least look through the boxes while she is on the phone. The last straw is when I notice that she was viewing someone's profile I think on Facebook). At this point I am a little tire of this rendezvous, so I decide to leave the store and take my money somewhere else. No sell here either. On my way out, I notice that next door there is a very nice clothing store, with the latest styles of pants, shirts, jackets, and even the "bling, bling" that our youths like so much. (A few years ago, some associates and I had considered opening up a discount clothing store. This had me thinking that, maybe we should had used a model like this for our store). There was hip hop music playing and everything. However, nobody greeted me when I came in and nobody said goodbye when I left. One thing that I did notice was that the owner was Asian. She did not bother to worry with me, either I'm going to buy or I am not going to buy. If I don't, someone else will. Although I got bad service from both locations, I understood that the Asian owned black clothing store owner had studied Black folks and knew that they had what we wanted and that we would purchase regardless of who owned the place or what type of service or lack thereof that we received. I was not upset or disappointed in the Asian proprietor, but I was hurt and disappointed with the Black proprietor.

Why? Remember I drove across town, just to support my people. At this point I am frustrated and a little hungry. So, I go by the food court to get me a salad. How to you think this portion of the journey turns out? If you think that I got a salad you are mistaken. No salad available. Black people don't eat salad or anything else healthy. All they had were vendors with Fried chicken, fried fish choices, pizza, hotdogs, candy and a big sign letting you darkies know that "Cinnabon" is coming soon!

I love my people, but I understand that Hosea 4:6 says in part: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…" When you look up destroyed you will realized that once something is destroyed, it looks nothing like it once did. We are nothing like we once were, prior to coming to the hells of North America. The scripture continues… "because thou has rejected knowledge, I (God speaking) will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God Yahweh, I [Yahweh] will also forget thy children."

I know that those of you from other nationalities understand why I am referring to this scripture in association with the so-called Blackman of America.

I Don't Wanna Be Black No MO, because I know that I am a Hebrew Israelite, from the tribe of Judah, born to be the righteous ruler of this earth. It is up to me and those who know this to be true, to be leaders of peace to all people, righteousness examples of how to do business, and treat each other. Finally as a chosen one of Israel I must appeal to you to return to the laws, statues, judgments, and commandments of God.
